Unusual Situations & Noteworthy EVENTS

While on board JetBlue flight 191 bound for Las Vegas, NV, to attend an international security conference, and thirty-thousand feet in mid-air, the founder of this firm took a leading role and restrained the pilot who was emotionally disturbed. His heroic action gained world-wide attention, and according to news commentator, Piers Morgan, and many others worldwide, Paul was proclaimed to be “a true American hero.”

On March 27, 2012, retired Sergeant Paul was relaxing in seat 7C aboard Jet Blue Flight 191, which had departed Kennedy Airport for Las Vegas. He was on his way to a security convention. Approximately one hour from Las Vegas, a well-built man dressed in a pilot’s uniform ran past Paul yelling, “They’re going to get us.” Moments later, the man was pounding on the cockpit door attempting to gain entrance.

The retired sergeant, who served with the NYPD from 1982 to 2004, initially thought the man was a terrorist. While many of the passengers blocked the aisle, he climbed his way through the plane until he was within reach of the man in the pilot’s uniform. It wasn’t until sometime later that Paul learned that the man was actually the plane’s pilot, who had been locked out of the cockpit by the co-pilot when he started acting in a potentially dangerous and erratic manner. After assessing the situation, Paul coordinated the actions of some of the other passengers to control the man until the plane made an emergency landing in Amarillo, Texas. After obtaining a pair of handcuffs from a responding airport police officer, he helped cuff the man and then breathed a deep, long-awaited sigh of relief. Despite receiving numerous accolades from passengers on the plane and from members of the news media, Paul stated that he does not consider himself a hero.

Paul indicated that his NYPD patrol and supervisory training and experience, especially in regard to handling emotionally disturbed persons, prepared him for this unforeseen and dangerous airborne occurrence. When all was said and done, thankfully no one was seriously injured, the pilot was taken into custody by federal authorities and the passengers resumed their journey several hours later on a different airplane. During his 22 years of service with the NYPD, he served in many diverse commands. Upon retiring, he started and is CEO of PGB Executive Investigations, Inc.

As an active member of the NYPD's REM and SHIELD, I attended Active Shooter training provided by the New York City Police Department's Counter-terrorism Bureau.  This training provided great insight when conducting threat analysis and penetration assessment site surveys in corporate and residential properties where a would-be active shooter may seek hostages or take innocent lives.

Private Investigations 1,2,3

With so many private investigative firms, the real question is how do you choose a firm that's right for you?

Like other professions, private investigative firms have investigators that are skilled in specialized areas. For example, if you were seeking to hire an investigative firm regarding an embezzlement matter, you wouldn't consider hiring a private investigative firm that specializes in missing persons investigations.

The ideal firm to consider is the one that is credible, meets your investigative needs, can work within your budget and has a proven record of success.

There are no “short cuts” when conducting investigations as there is no guaranteed outcome.

We specialize in real estate investigations and surveillance- with an emphasis on the design and utilization of cutting-edge technologies.

In as much as each case is different, our proprietary solutions are tailored to each investigations unique needs.

What's our secret to success?

It’s (almost) as fundamental as 1,2,3.

  • we assess the client’s needs,
  • we gather credible evidence and
  • we provide the client and legal counsel with creative solutions and document our findings in court ready investigative reports that are used during negotiation or litigation.

Although it may sound simple, this is an over simplification of what is entailed. Working with our many sources, we then provide the client with a cost-effective solution.  During the investigation, we keep the client and their legal staff informed and work closely together to ensure the highest probability of success.

Next, is credibility.

Our firm excels in cultivating and providing the client with court ready credible evidence.

After all, what would the value of evidence be if it were derived illegally or is inadmissible in court?

Call us if you would like to discuss your investigative needs and are serious about results.

Remember, you only get one shot, so make the right choice.

Harlem

During the summer of 2018 until February 2019, we were retained to assist a property owner in Harlem, NY who despite all their efforts, could not get assistance from NYC agencies to effectively help to evict a deadbeat tenant who consistently failed to pay his rent, stole other tenant's mail and deliveries, caused extensive property damage, brought unsavory people to his apartment all hours of the night, used drugs and disrupted the repose of all residents.

After designing, monitoring and capturing covert video evidence, we worked  closely with our sources in municipal government to arrest, convict and evict that tenant.

This case is an example of how criminal prosecution resulted in an eviction without a trial in Civil Court.

On November 5, 2018 our investigation provided credible evidence to support that the City of New York would be endangering the lives of homeless people if they were to use the former Park Savoy Hotel located at 158 W. 58th Street because it is a dangerous fire trap.

Working closely with a world renowned law firm, the City has not opened a shelter in an area of New York City referred to as "billionaires row".
